Being @MCMExpo Birmingham this weekend looking forward to next years event. It was a lot fun and I did not spend as much as I usually do at these things. Meet a lot of really talented comic artists that I exchanged contacts with. Also did a bit of doodling during the lunch breaks

Hello this is going to something something a little more detailed in terms of the subject.

I have recently been going to this event every Monday night called Balti and Big Questions (that finished this week). It was an evening of discussions and debates about the existence of God next to the world and universe, While you get to eat really good indian food for free. It was very deep and interesting and has made me question a few things. I used my memories of going to church as a young kid to juxtapose visual metaphors as interpretations from each talk. They may not make a lot of sense from the outside but like every good piece of art you need to look deeper in to the visuals.

Humanisation.Com project update13/11/14

1000 years ago earth is wiped out by war of neutral bombs. At this time the Internet, as we know it was been updated and had began to think independently. Now 1000 years later the Internet has transformed in to a virtual reality where severs websites and programs of all kinds have become living breathing beings connecting together to from a thriving metropolis. Our two main protagonists CADRA the normal farm girl working in the code fields and Mutt her pet dragon suddenly embark on an epic quest to find the code that could bring down the controlling powers of the big bosses Google Apple and many others but what is this mysterious code you say?

The story is being written by my Dad and drawn by me. After a long hiatus we have finally decided to bring it back to life =D and get some actual pages done before the end of year.

This universe works in a similar way to Honnouji Academy from Kill LA Kill in that the lower you are the more deprived you are in society
the city is always constantly growing and expanding so theres no sense of gravity or logic.

The fields at the bottom are the code fields where poor framers plow up digital resources to give to the world for power. 

Only way in to the metropolis is on the information highway

Although my intention was not this i do get a bit of a Studio Ghibli vibe off the art. =D

As a bit of anatomy practise i redesigned the main protagonists of the story CADRA to appear a lot more human then cartoon  

by doing this model sheet This will help me immensely in drawing her in the comic panels. Even after all my years of life drawing I still tend to go off model with my human characters. :doh:

Mutt is down there for a size comparison as He will be present with Cadra everywhere she goes.

fun fact: Mutt dresses as a cat for a sight gag each issue he will be in a different cat costume and everyone but Cadra will question it.

Humanise.com (or to save legal action from a website with a similar name) Humaniztion.com. is a graphic novel project  that my Dad is writing and I am drawing. After a long hiatus we have finally decided to bring it back to life =D and get some actual comic pages done before the end of  the year.

These are design ideas for the physical look of Twitter and Craigslist part of the (Severs) who will play a big role in the story.

Other initial sketches based on the other severs that represent a different website like Youtube, Tumblr, and Steam. Some of their design are more straight forward then others because some of the biggest websites are a lot more complex then they look and the designs are supposed to reflect that.
