Jowy shenanigans 3/9/15

l have been thinking recently about creating small comics based off lyrics to various songs to challenge my sequential art skills for future issues with Humanisation.com.

The top thumbnails are inspired by this song (below) Drive He Said from one of my all time favourite music artists Steve Taylor. Its quirky and leaves a lot of interesting panel and pose ideas to play with. also more cars are a bonus. =D

Jowy shenaggins 18/10/14

Yesterday I decided to have a crack at something more arty for a nice change of pace from all the cartoon and pony work.

Back when I was in college and university I tended to do really quick expressionaist sketches usually capturing the essence of movement .

i have not drawn anything in that style in a long time due to the simple fact nowadays I like to recreate things as realistic as possible.

Drumming or playing any kind of musical instrument is something I enjoy sketching on occasions.

I was also inspired by this awesome Drum cover i found on youtube years ago of Linkin Parks Session and Numb Still one of my most watched videos to this day. =D

Jowy Shenanigans 9/11/12

The development of Humanised.com (ambitious comic project)

Today i wanted to concentrate on panel arrangements and use the script my Dad has written for the story so far to get some feeling for action and movement. The last thing i want to have is beautifully detailed backdrops and set pieces and just static stiff characters and poses. This world needs to show richness of life.

i can going to ask my Dad nicely if i can put up the whole draft script so you can understand a bit more about this whole universe and its existence (no idea for characters names as i have now reason for Annabelle).
Roughs make it a whole lot easier to declare who will stay and who will go

Yes her eye is sightly bigger than her other but i am still  working out her final design, and for that matter the whole cast. I have noticed a bit of  Katsuhiro Otomo influence in the way i do people recently especially from the sides and chins.

Evaluating what i have done today i think the next step is too get started on the splash page and try and  polish up the finish on this page ready for Leeds thought bubble next weekend .

Until next post Laters ;)
