New speed painting to accompany my first two initial speed paintings on the idea of steampunk Romans I made last year.

Really tried to explore the atmosphere of a polluted environment with a hint of colour in it

Jowy shenanigans 7/9/15 getting steamed up

Speed painting of an idea I have had circling around my head for a while. What if the Romans had discovered steampunk. =D

There is real historical evidence that they came close to the discovery of steam power thanks to the Greek Hero of Alexandria who had invented the first proper steam engine (picture of it is below).

The Romans refused to acknowledge this as they felt it would make their slaves useless and never picked up the technology.

I had a very relaxing Christmas and now i am feeling refreshed for the new year and what productivity it will bring 

over last two days i have been expanding and refining the world my own characters live in given places names and some concept art.  

The Sowing Valley 

A tranquil jungle haven that is made purely of fabric and stitches it holds together the entire world and is home to the oldest race known to civilisation called the sewing maidens.

Tune Sky Way 

The most musical and loudest highway that connects two of the biggest regions in the world The Playland Kingdom and Ramsusville.

Poiska 

A mutated twisted and grimly industrial city/harbour that defiles the laws of gravity and logic. Also they speak in a language linked to pollution.
