Jowybean shenanigans 16/12/15

I have finished  two of my fake  Disney/ 2d animation screenshots 

For my family as A special christmas present this year. 

Each scene I used actual locations from inside my house and experimented with a few filters and texture brushes to make the backdrops pop a little more. 

overall in the last two weeks each piece has taken 15 hours.

Jowybean shenanigans 5/12/15 Craft fair

I had the opportunity this weekend to sell at my towns local fair I mostly brought stock left over from my Bearwood Art with History exhibition in october. As well as a few festive christmas cards and canvases to get in to the holiday spirit.

Overall it was a very pleasant and relaxing day and I will be sure to do it again.

Jowybean shenanigans 24/11/15

I have had a lot of commission and potential paid work come up since last week so updates to the blog may slow down because of this. But anyway here is a taster of something I am personally working on for my family this christmas. :) 

as a fan of old animation  I have always had the dream of recreating the real world in to 

slice of life Don Bluth/Disney inspired screen shots. :) 

heres two failed attempts from a few years back in 2008 I think. 

I am planning to give each member of my family their own personal screen shot As a sign of thanks for all the years they have put up with me and my work. 

its not going to be easy to pull off but its an ambition of mine I would like to make a reality before the end of year, maybe even make it a new form of caricaturing for 2016.

2014 Plans and updates its Jowy Shenanigans for the 21/12/13

Christmas Is approaching ever faster guys: faint: and I tend to slow down a little to take it nice and easy before I get back in too my busy routine.  Last weekends journal was pointless if I am honest but enough about the past lets look forward to the future

Biggest Update of this month I have finished my job for the holidays. The boss has been very pleasant to work with and the skills I have gained in indesign and illustrator give my business more leeway in future work.. I am going to research In to other creative job or opportunity so when I have to leave the job I have another place to go
Its not going to be a cake walk and does mean spending a few hours looking online for paid work over the break but I am willing to sacrifice some of my much earned free time in order to achieve this goal and be generally more happy about professional working environments. 

There’s going to be a lot of planning before the New Year kicks in as well

The biggest things I want to aim for next year is to go to two or at least one of the big brony conventions in the U.S. EVERFREE OR BRONYCON (maybe even get to vendor there which would be awesome).

Other big goals on my list include expanding the jowbean brand with joining sites like WLF welovefine and working for IDW as I did do a comic cover that appeared in the art galley special of MLP two months ago. 

On top of this I want to return to my own projects that I have put on hiatus since BUCKcon this year. One being the ambitious graphic novel that my dads writing called Humanise.com and my Jowy web comic that is in collab with a friend not on DA. this means that this blog will get used much more next year if i keep to my word.

I am aiming very high for 2014 folks but I believe that with my unique diverse talent anything is possible now, even animation. Got to keep going up not down.

I am still here just over on tumblr and DA short update 14/12/13

Its been a good week and a half since I last update on this blog which I apologise for but I recently discovered the fun of tumblr and being uploading a lot of my roughs and sketches to there as a sort of archive for my ideas pony and non pony related of Crouse.

I am still in my graphic design job, which has become a little bit more enjoyably but come New Year or before then I am looking for a better-paid creative job

 I should be thankful to the director at the company  for keeping me on for this long but for the long-term of jowybean as a business I need to find a better-secured position if I want to aim higher.

I still have a lot of commissions on my DA to crack on with.

Jowy Shenanigans updates 28/11/13

Been a good couple of days since the last update but making time for it tonight.

Hello everybody last Saturday was a busy and productive day because it was the Crafty Muthas i had mentioned once or twice about. Un like the UK pony con Buck I did not make a lot of money but still broke even with the equipment and tools i needed to sell my various works but i exchanged contacts with a lot of people (some I knew from years ago old friends really) who were interested in my caricature cartoon work i started doing recently. And i sold off a lot of my old art from when i was 9 and 10 as that was received really well. I was utterly surprised at how many young adorable kids were bronies too i had one young girl there throw a lot of 1p coins on my table for a pinkie Pie and Princess Luna print which just made my day. And just talking to them about Best pony was marvellous and made me realize that there are lots of kids who love ponies as well as us crazy obsessed adult fans. Couple other things to say about the event, I have been invited to three other potential events this December to show case and sell my art, which is exciting. Some of it is for charity. I still have quite a few commissions to do online but I hope a lot of the people who took my cards will come back for a cartoon I want to keep myself as busy as possible over Christmas I tend to get lazy near the end of the year.

 SEASON 4 OF FRIENDSHIP IS MAGIC STARTED and it did not disappoint) I joined in on a live stream of the two parter episode as it was such a big deal for a lot of fans including me i had a little interview on the stream near the end of it which in UK time was about 2:55 I think. It was called Brony Bash and you can check it out on you tube (if you really want to). It was a long long stream and I joined the tail end of it. I competed my title card for the part 1the next day (Sunday) and managed to get a recording of the process.

I started a Tumblr right now I use it to archive my sketches, ideas and anything else.

Its got a silly name as well I always think way too big when I start new online profiles but I know that’s not how online creasrtivty works in this day and age. I have so many ideas to bring to life that I have lost my ability to get bored or lazy.
